H3C partners with DapuStor to launch X18000 G6&H5100 SSD high-density full flash storage solution

Recently, Xinhuasan and DapuStor jointly launched a full flash high-density storage solution based on Xinhuasan’s latest full flash storage server X18000 G6 and DapuStor’s PCIe 5.0 E1. S SSD H5100, providing a powerful and efficient whole machine storage solution for large Internet, technology enterprises and data intensive industries.

01- H3C Flash Storage Server X18000 G6

H3C UniStor X18000 G6 is the flagship product of New H3C’s sixth generation distributed storage. Based on a unique NVMe high-density full flash architecture and combined with the latest version of New H3C’s distributed storage software, the X18000 G6 achieves performance and reliability experience comparable to centralized storage based on a distributed architecture. At the same time, it also has the scalability of distributed storage and provides multiple advantages such as one-stop delivery and rapid deployment, making it suitable for scenarios such as virtualization, databases, autonomous driving, and real-time analysis of massive data.

02 DapuStor Enterprise E1. S SSD H5100

With the rapid development of PCIe Gen3 to Gen5, SSD specifications have undergone multiple evolutions, and DapuStor has participated in the production and research and development of mainstream specifications, actively promoting technological progress in these changes.

In 2023, DapuStor officially launched the PCIe 5.0 E1. S SSD H5100, with a sequential read and write bandwidth of up to 14000/5000 MB/s, 4K random read and write IOPS of up to 2800K/370K, and 4K random read and write latency of 54/8 μ s (due to differences in system hardware and software, actual test results may vary slightly), bringing better performance to storage systems. In addition, the H5100 E1. S SSD supports storage capacities of 3.84TB and 7.68 TB, which can meet customers’ needs for different storage system capacities. With its high-density and low-power characteristics, it provides strong support for the flash storage needs of cloud computing and large-scale data centers, meeting the storage challenges brought by high-speed data growth.

03- Collaborative testing plan

In this collaboration, both R&D teams have completed the introduction testing of DapuStor H5100 series SSD disks on H3C UniStor X18000 G6 all-in-one machines. New H3C will lead the provision of relevant testing plans, with DapuStor assisting in completing the testing. Both parties will review the testing reports, review the testing steps, and assess the feasibility/reliability of the testing results. This collaborative testing includes functionality, interoperability, long-term performance, abnormal scenarios, and other tests between H3C UniStor X18000 G6 all-in-one machine and DapuStor H5100 series SSD disk, covering the usability, compatibility, stability, ease of operation, performance, and other aspects of the storage system of H3C UniStor X18000 G6 all-in-one machine paired with DapuStor H5100 series SSD disk.

The DapuStor Haishen5 E1. S SSD disk has a sequential read bandwidth of 12.6 GB/s and a sequential write bandwidth of 4.9 GB/s for a single 128k disk on the H3C UniStor X18000 G6 all-in-one machine, with a 4K random read IOPS of 2557K and a 4K random write IOPS of 208K. When the power consumption level is PS4, the 4k random read IOPS is 1520k, the random write is 121.7K, the 128k sequential read is 10.1GB/S, and the sequential write bandwidth is 2.8GB/S. After verification testing, it can meet the performance and green low-carbon requirements of H3C UniStor X18000 G6 all-in-one machine.

Overall performance:

The above test results show that by setting the power consumption levels PS4 and PS5 for the DapuStor H5100 E1. S disc, the overall performance and power consumption data are compared and meet expectations, and the test has passed.

New H3C and DapuStor have been collaborating on an expanding SSD product line for a long time. The H3C UniStor X18000 G6 supports ultra-high storage density and can accommodate 48 NVMe SSDs in a single rack unit, making it an ideal choice for high-density and large-scale servers. Meanwhile, E1. S SSDs have been widely used in ultra large scale data centers. As more and more enterprise storage systems support E1. S, the adoption rate of E1. S SSDs will significantly increase, which is particularly important for ultra large scale data centers that require high-capacity storage but have limited physical space. In addition, the H3C UniStor X18000 G6 supports Gen5 E1. S SSDs, which means that as more and more Gen5 SSDs enter the market, overall performance will be further improved to meet users’ demand for efficient storage.
