On April 9th, HPE’s “Calculate Now, See the Future” HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 server launch event was successfully held in Beijing. New H3C Group, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, and experts from authoritative institutions, key industry media, upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain attended the conference to witness the official launch of the new HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 server. HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 has achieved a comprehensive breakthrough in performance, energy efficiency and security. With intelligent management and sustainable development design, it can release greater value for enterprises in AI, edge computing, hybrid cloud and other application scenarios
In the current era of deep integration of digitization and intelligence, enterprises’ demands for computing infrastructure are becoming increasingly diverse, and server products are in a strategic window of opportunity for intelligent reconstruction. At the same time, with the continuous evolution of AI technology, the accelerated deployment of edge computing and the extensive application of hybrid cloud architecture, enterprises pay more attention to the comprehensive performance of servers in computing performance, energy efficiency and security protection when building IT infrastructure.
HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers provide enterprises with a flexible and sustainable intelligent computing platform through comprehensive upgrades in performance, energy efficiency, and security, supporting increasingly complex business scenarios and digital strategies.
Dual upgrade of performance and energy efficiency
creating an efficient computing power base
HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 series products have optimized performance and energy efficiency, which can effectively support diversified workload requirements such as AI, data analysis, edge computing, hybrid cloud and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and improve the performance per watt of the system by up to 41% compared with previous systems. By deeply integrating resources, each HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 server can provide computing performance equivalent to 7 HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers, while saving up to 65% of electricity annually.
To meet high-density deployment requirements, HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 density optimized servers can support closed-loop liquid cooling suites (CLLC). This kit is suitable for data centers that are cost sensitive and have limited power resources, and can be easily deployed without the need to modify existing water and electricity structures. By combining the leak detection function of the new iLO 7 management software, servers can maintain system stability and continuously release performance in high load and high-density deployment scenarios, bringing higher energy efficiency and reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) to enterprises
Building a full lifecycle security defense line from core to cloud
HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 integrates multiple layers of security mechanisms, achieving full lifecycle security protection from hardware chips to cloud platforms. The dedicated security processor integrated into HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO) 7 is independently developed by HPE and has complete intellectual property rights, providing a highly trusted and tamper proof computing environment. It also meets the advanced encryption security standard FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and has the ability to resist quantum computing attacks, helping enterprises ensure data security when facing new threats in the future.
Intelligent operation and maintenance,
driving energy and management efficiency improvement
In order to achieve more efficient resource scheduling and energy utilization, HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 is equipped with the intelligent management platform HPE iLO 7. The updated ASIC chip and GUI interface can bring a faster and smoother user experience. The virtual media operation speed is increased by three times, and the system startup time is shortened by 30%, helping enterprise operation and maintenance personnel improve operation and maintenance efficiency. The new “health monitoring” function supports unified visual management in multi vendor mixed deployment scenarios, helping to quickly identify potential health risks in the system and enhancing business continuity for customers.
At the same time, HPE also provides an independent evaluation tool, HPE Power Advisor, to help companies predict energy consumption and carbon emissions performance under different configurations before procurement, assisting customers in achieving green computing goals and balancing IT investment with sustainable development strategies.
